Review #1447230 "Magnificent Getaway!"
Hoof Print Ranch was everything as described on the website -- and more! Our whole family spent a week in April. The well-maintained cabin was homey and spacious; we had 6 adults and 2 toddlers "bunking" together. It was so nice to have a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. The atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful. The Riders gave us a lot of info about Stephenville (restaurants, activities) and made sure we had everything we needed. Our two little girls loved feeding carrots to the horses. With the huge yard, they enjoyed running/playing and having an Easter egg hunt. We would not only recommend this property to family and friends -- we're going back soon!
Cabin #6
Hoof Prints Ranch will always have a very special place in our hearts. We ended up with staying there by chance (actually luck as we see it) on a medical road trip from Mission, TX to Norman, OK. From the initial phone call for a reservation that first night and then a follow-up stay several weeks later, we felt welcome, safe, respected, cared about, and completely at home. In fact, on the second stay, Tandi went an extra two miles to prepare the cabin for our stay and then visited with us for a long time as we talked about our family medical situation, dreams, and life goals. Cabin 6 is awesome -- peaceful fr...ont porch, cozy inside, just a great place to stay. We will definitely stop back when we can. Owners are amazing at what they do and are just compassionate human beings. Thank you for what you do and keep up the AMAZING work.

Review Title : 1271324 - "Really enjoyed this cabin"
"My wife, 18 month old and I spent a couple of days during the Christmas break in the 3 bedroom cabin. We had a great time, very relaxing. The cabin was well appointed and all we had to do was bring our food (who needs food in the cabin with the Hard 8 BBQ joint less then a 1/2 mile away (Best BBQ I've ever eatten). I think the most entertaining aspect of the cabins are their proximity to the horse stables (right on the property). My son has not interacted with a horse before and he was able to pet and watch the horses as they ran around. Put smiles on all our faces...Thanks again."

"We stayed at this house for my son's wedding at it was a great place to stay. The house was even nicer than you can see in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean and very roomy! I would recommend this house to anyone and will stay here again! "

“I cannot even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves the weekend of September 27-29, when my two sisters, three daughters and I came to Stephenville for my youngest daughter’s bridal shower. The cabin was everything we ever could have hoped for. It was so spacious and comfortable…we all agreed we would live there in a heartbeat. We had all of the comforts of home and then some. It was so much fun to be with the horses and hear them out in the pasture early in the mornings. It reminded me and my older sister of summers we spent in Grapevine, TX, at the ranch of our parents friends. We would get up before dawn, go out to the barn, clean the stalls and feed the horses, and then go up to the house for breakfast. I can’t remember bacon and eggs tasting as good as they did then. Those were magical summers and being at Hoof Prints brought back special memories. My only complaint is that we didn’t get to stay longer…lol. You have a great place there, and if we ever are that way again, we will certainly come again. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. We had a great time!! I highly recommend Hoof Prints Ranch. –Terry, Coppell, Texas”

"Relaxing getaway!!"
"Hoof Prints Ranch Cabin 5 was a wonderful place! The hosts were friendly, helpful and available when we had questions, and met us when we arrived. The cabin was large enough for a large group, but designed in a way that each person could have privacy. It was beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed the TV channels and the access to the internet (we provided our own laptops.) The beds were extremely comfortable! One of our favorite features was the back porch. We enjoyed sitting out under the beautiful shady trees and watching the horses. We also enjoyed barbecuing on the porch. Stephenville is a great town with interesting things to do and great restaurants when we were ready to go out to eat. It was so relaxing and peaceful! We hope to go again and would recommend this to anyone!"

We stayed here for a graduation party and just wanted to let you know how lovely it was. The cabin was beautiful. Anyone that would like to get away and have a peaceful weekend this would be the perfect place to go. Especially enjoyed seeing all the horses especially the new baby. We were very impressed and plan to come back and stay again. Thank you so much.

Hoof Prints Ranch was the perfect location for our visit to Stephenville. The cabin was very spacious and immaculate. It was beautifully decorated with modern updates, while maintaining its rustic charm. My favorite part of our stay was drinking my morning coffee on the back porch. The scenery is just gorgeous and we loved watching the horses play in the field. The staff was very accommodating and available should you need anything. Tandi even gave us suggestions of places to visit while in town. I would highly recommend Hoof Prints Ranch.

"Our stay at Hoof Prints Ranch, in #5 Cabin/House, was quite nice. Due to our very hectic schedule, we did not get to appreciate what this particular cabin had to offer, but we plan to return in the near future to take the time to sit back and just "chill" for a few days. I have listed a few of the items we thought should be mentioned for others to obtain a good feel for what this cabin has to offer: 1) First and foremost, the cabin was very clean, 2) the location seemed to offer solitude and quite a view but was close to town, 3) the atmosphere and decor of the cabin was quite unique and the entire family enjoyed browsing throughout the cabin, 4) owner was there when we arrived to give us a brief tour through the cabin which was quite helpful, and 5) the owner was very pleasant and more than willing to help with anything we needed and we truly appreciated that.
Our family would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone, but especially for families. It has more of a home atmosphere and we truly enjoyed out stay."

This cabin is quaint but spacious as well. My husband and I traveled with two young girls who shared the couch bed and we stayed on the bed in the adjoining room. There was plenty of space for all of us. We were traveling for a bike ride in a neighboring city and we will definitely be back for more and will stay in the cabins here when we do. I enjoyed the wireless internet, the fact that we had a refrigerator, the awesome front porch and the horses in the fields nearby. My daughter loved the fact that it had a tv with satellite and a dvd player. We all liked the sunrise view from the front porch and the nice bench was a great place for a family picture. This cabin had everything we needed and I can't imagine why with this option, anyone would stay at a hotel in the area. It was wonderful, everything from the kitchen to the couch to the comfortable bed to the clean towels and bathroom. I am picky about cleanliness when I rent a place or stay in a hotel and this met my strict standars, so definitely a thumbs up there. Tandi was absolutely wonderful and very accomodating when we had delays in getting up there later than expected to check in. The photos on this site were true to the cabin. We absolutely loved it and will be back. :)

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the Hoof Prints Ranch cabins for seven nights very recently. The cabin was small without being stifling; it was cozy and did not leave me wanting for room. The cabin came complete with a television and many channels, high-speed wireless internet, a small but serviceable refrigerator (though I would give caution, the back wall of the fridge gets a lot colder than the rest of it and certain things will freeze against it), a stove-top with two side-by-side burners, a powerful microwave, and a nice double sink. The AC runs well and keeps the entire building cool when called upon to do so. The shower runs hot or cold on almost a moment's notice, and the bathroom sink has mirrors in the doors of the cabinets over it. A couch is situated in the front room that is comfortable. If you have a pet and plan to take it let them know in advance and they will furnish a sheet to put over the couch so your friend won't shed into it too much. This I found a more than reasonable request. Shadow certainly enjoyed his week out there with me. =) Best of all for me as far as the inside of the cabin went was the bed. Unlike hotels I've stayed at (and paid much more for on a nightly basis), this cabin's bed was wonderfully comfortable. The mattress left no aches or pains for me and was pleasantly soft and warm to wake up to in the mornings. =) There are many power outlets available for use both in the living/kitchen area and in the bedroom so don't let that worry you either. From the front porch of the cabin I stayed in was a view well worth admiring of pastures and pens. On my week there I got to enjoy sitting out on the porch in the afternoons and evenings with my faithful dog, Shadow, and watching the horses at pasture. Two were newborn and terribly cute. If that's not enough to convince you of the time you might have at such a place take the time to look into the surrounding area. There are arenas, a water park, at least one Barbecue of good reputation, and plenty of small establishments in homes in the area you might enjoy. Things like fields of lavender where you can go to pick your own, farms with fresh produce, and even a cheesemaker as I heard it. Needless to say, my country getaway was absolutely wonderful and the facilities fully met both my expectations and my hopes! Thanks very much to Tandi for that, and I hope this review is helpful to anyone considering a stay at her property.
Wonderful & Charming with a beautiful view.

I have stayed in Hoof Prints Ranch's cabins several times during travel to bicycle races in the surrounding areas of Stephenville, Texas. I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It is always completely equipped with everything I need and super clean and really comfortable. There is a beautiful view of pasture land and ponds. The grounds were landscaped and manicured nicely. The owners Dave and Tandi Rider were very nice and made me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this cabin and any of the other cabins they have at Hoof Prints Ranch. I'm looking forward to staying there again soon for all the upcoming bicycle races.
Friendly, comfortable, quiet atmosphere

Wonderful location and cabin!! Dave and Tandi are such gracious hosts. My cabin was comfortable and clean. I was very pleased with the the large, covered stalls that were available for my horse. Traveling alone, I felt very safe with the owners on site. Great restaurants close by and plenty of room to ride. Look forward to my next stay and would highly recommend this park to travelers looking for a peaceful long or short- term stay!
