8/31/10 - Afleet Bob and Commitment will be auctioned off on September 2, 2010 at 10:00am on the Stephenville, TX court house steps.  Commitments original owners will have to bid on their horse even though they were never paid.  Bob needs someone to bid for him.  Please pass this information on so Bob can find a good home.

7/21/10 - Front page news on the Stephenville Empire Tribune.

7/20/10 - Hearing date has been moved up to July 22, 2010 at 2:00pm at the court house in Stephenville, TX.

7/20/10 - I have been served a subpoena to give my professional opinion of the well being of these horses.

7/20/10 - It is amazing how much better they are all acting.  Even pinning their ears back at breakfast time and feeling a bit ornery.  I am glad to see it:o)

7/19/10 - Dr Miller from Animal Health of Stephenville, TX stopped by to check over the rescue horses.  He and his staff administered wormer to help the healing process of these horses and to put weight on them.

7/19/10 - Horses starting to get life back into their eyes and eager for their grain.

7/18/10 - We picked up the horses.  There are 5 stallions, 2 geldings and 4 mares.  One stallion is not doing very well but we administered banimine and he is looking better.  One of the mares was also more lathargic than the others but after some banimine she is starting to come around.

7/17/10 - Eleven horses were seized from their owners for neglect.  There will be a hearing on July 26, 2010 at which the horses fates will be determined.  They may go back with their owners or they may go on to an auction house to be sold.  Hoof Prints Ranch is hoping to have a back up plan of getting owners for these horses before they are auctioned off so that they can find new homes that will take great care of them.

Keep checking back as I get more information on each of these horses.  More people are letting us know as we get further into this rescue.  At this time I am trying to find either the original owners or people that will be on standby to give them a good home in case they go to auction.  Please call or email me if you are willing to take on a horse.  Most of these horses are broke and are quality horses that can go on and become something.  Yet you need to be willing to take care of them even if they are just a pet.
