Wonderful Cabin!

This cabin is quaint but spacious as well. My husband and I traveled with two young girls who shared the couch bed and we stayed on the bed in the adjoining room. There was plenty of space for all of us. We were traveling for a bike ride in a neighboring city and we will definitely be back for more and will stay in the cabins here when we do. I enjoyed the wireless internet, the fact that we had a refrigerator, the awesome front porch and the horses in the fields nearby. My daughter loved the fact that it had a tv with satellite and a dvd player. We all liked the sunrise view from the front porch and the nice bench was a great place for a family picture. This cabin had everything we needed and I can’t imagine why with this option, anyone would stay at a hotel in the area. It was wonderful, everything from the kitchen to the couch to the comfortable bed to the clean towels and bathroom. I am picky about cleanliness when I rent a place or stay in a hotel and this met my strict standars, so definitely a thumbs up there. Tandi was absolutely wonderful and very accomodating when we had delays in getting up there later than expected to check in. The photos on this site were true to the cabin. We absolutely loved it and will be back. 🙂

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the Hoof Prints Ranch cabins for seven nights very recently. The cabin was small without being stifling; it was cozy and did not leave me wanting for room. The cabin came complete with a television and many channels, high-speed wireless internet, a small but serviceable refrigerator (though I would give caution, the back wall of the fridge gets a lot colder than the rest of it and certain things will freeze against it), a stove-top with two side-by-side burners, a powerful microwave, and a nice double sink. The AC runs well and keeps the entire building cool when called upon to do so. The shower runs hot or cold on almost a moment’s notice, and the bathroom sink has mirrors in the doors of the cabinets over it. A couch is situated in the front room that is comfortable. If you have a pet and plan to take it let them know in advance and they will furnish a sheet to put over the couch so your friend won’t shed into it too much. This I found a more than reasonable request. Shadow certainly enjoyed his week out there with me. =) Best of all for me as far as the inside of the cabin went was the bed. Unlike hotels I’ve stayed at (and paid much more for on a nightly basis), this cabin’s bed was wonderfully comfortable. The mattress left no aches or pains for me and was pleasantly soft and warm to wake up to in the mornings. =) There are many power outlets available for use both in the living/kitchen area and in the bedroom so don’t let that worry you either. From the front porch of the cabin I stayed in was a view well worth admiring of pastures and pens. On my week there I got to enjoy sitting out on the porch in the afternoons and evenings with my faithful dog, Shadow, and watching the horses at pasture. Two were newborn and terribly cute. If that’s not enough to convince you of the time you might have at such a place take the time to look into the surrounding area. There are arenas, a water park, at least one Barbecue of good reputation, and plenty of small establishments in homes in the area you might enjoy. Things like fields of lavender where you can go to pick your own, farms with fresh produce, and even a cheesemaker as I heard it. Needless to say, my country getaway was absolutely wonderful and the facilities fully met both my expectations and my hopes! Thanks very much to Tandi for that, and I hope this review is helpful to anyone considering a stay at her property.

I have stayed in Hoof Prints Ranch’s cabins several times during travel to bicycle races in the surrounding areas of Stephenville, Texas. I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It is always completely equipped with everything I need and super clean and really comfortable. There is a beautiful view of pasture land and ponds. The grounds were landscaped and manicured nicely. The owners Dave and Tandi Rider were very nice and made me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this cabin and any of the other cabins they have at Hoof Prints Ranch. I’m looking forward to staying there again soon for all the upcoming bicycle races.

Wonderful location and cabin!! Dave and Tandi are such gracious hosts. My cabin was comfortable and clean. I was very pleased with the the large, covered stalls that were available for my horse. Traveling alone, I felt very safe with the owners on site. Great restaurants close by and plenty of room to ride. Look forward to my next stay and would highly recommend this park to travelers looking for a peaceful long or short- term stay!
